My work is a reaction to, rejection of, and at best an antidote to the vapid, fake, pointless hampster wheel of so-called production. It is a stand against AI. Full stop. It is significant of a way of being that doesn’t rely on any technology and does rely on the hand and the brain, the creative act and skill. It is meditative and meaningful and fulfilling and thoughtful and beautiful and interesting. That is what I’m trying to accomplish. Something that is absolutely, undeniably real. You stand in front of my work and it cannot be faked. This is purposefully slow work. Slow work made even slower by the demands of life and society.
